Free Basics In India

 Free basics by Facebook is a partnership between social networking services company Facebook and six companies (Samsung, Ericsson, MediaTek, Opera Software, Nokia and Qualcomm) that plans to bring affordable access to selected Internet services to less developed countries by increasing efficiency, and facilitating the development of new business models around the provision of Internet access.

It is only for developing countries and facebook is trying to get control over other websites by this bad idea of Free basics as the citizens of the countries opting for this will have no freedom over internet surfing because Facebook then will have direct control over your country's internet and can block several websites including its rivals letting you have no choice over internet surfing.

In my opinion i would like to say that it should not be implemented on any country and especially countries having massive population like India as it will leave people to confine their net surfing and will reduce the net usage over country-wide.
